Design and fabrication of micro/nanomotors
Micro/nanomachines is an emerging field to design and build miniaturized machines analogous to macroscopic machines in our life to perform various intended tasks at small scales. As mobility is desired in a wide range of applications, micro/nanomotor represents a significant step towards practical tiny machines. We are devoted to the design, fabrication and optimization of versatile micro/nanomotors, which are micro- or nanoscale devices capable of converting energy into mechanical forces and movement.
Environmental applications of micro/nanomotors
Featured with small size, autonomous motion and self-stirring, micro/nanomotors serve as a brand new solution to address problems encountered in environmental area, ranging from environmental monitoring to water remediation. Our recent efforts have been directed at sensing and removal of water pollutants.
Biomedical applications of micro/nanomotors
As the 1966 science fiction classic "Fantastic Voyage" portrayed, great expectations have been placed on micro/nanomotors to revolutionize medical treatment. Micro/nanomotors have been involved in a series of biomedical applications, including biodetection, bioseparation, nano surgery and drug delivery.
